Well Dressed

I love this shirt Matt Lauer is wearing. Too often you only see it as button down, but this one has a nice wide spread collar. Great versatility and certainly more interesting than just a plain white shirt.

Ernst Benz Chronolunar, white dial.

Black Dial

Invicta Speedway 9211, $89 at Amazon

Please let me know what you think. Keep those cards and letters coming.

Curious George

Second in a list of well dressed men is George Plimpton, redefining casual elegance.

Tailgating, reaching for a cold one

Handing out the prize

Reclining, amiably

Beyond the beautiful

Sucking up to Halberstam

Holding court with Capote

It just goes to show: "you can always tell a Harvard man, but you can't tell him very much."

I wish I had better pictures.

Well Dressed

Say what you will about this man, challenge his virility, make fun of his tan, the photographs I see of George Hamilton on the internet reveal someone with a keen sense of style. He uses a limited palette of well tested classics, his suits are clearly custom-made and fit extremely well. Wonderful pair of bench-made shoes here and a great photographic sense of self confidence. Some would call it swagger. Old School, baby! Certainly the way a movie star ought to look.

Great Characters

The first in what will no doubt become an irregular series, showing the inevitable decline of boyish charm.

Wink, wink

Grin, grin

Leave me the f--- alone!

Digging out

You know we don't have a dog; we actually have two cats. but if we had a dog I'd like to think he'd look like this playing in the snow.

Mom's been away at a hotel for three days taking care of business. The rest of us are just muddling through, waiting for her arrival home this evening & our favorite spaghetti dinner.

A snowstorm of epic proportions? You be the judge. We got about four inches, total. Kind of a near-miss if you ask me.
